Presentation of MGIMO Monographs Released by Leading International Publishing Houses

May 26^th, the Science Policy Department organized a presentation of the scientific monographs of MGIMO scholars published this academic year in the international publishing houses Springer, Palgrave Macmillan, Taylor and Francis, Routledge, De Gruyter.

Deans, directors of institutes, heads of departments, professors and lecturers gathered at the event. The Vice-Rector for Research A.Baykov welcomed the guests, emphasizing the role of collective and individual scientific works in strengthening the academic reputation and brand of the University as a leading research and educational center. The event was moderated by P.Kasatkin, Head of the Science Policy Department.

N.Konina, Y.Kovalchuk, N.Piskulova, I.Stepnov, G.Panova, O.Ivanov, A.Dementyeva, E.Zavyalova, E.Popkova are among the authors of these prestigious publications. Many of them were prepared with foreign co-authors. Others were prepared single-handedly such as the works by M.Lebedeva and G.Sardaryan.

During their presentations, the editors and authors of the publications shared best-practices on preparing manuscripts for publication and spoke about the specificities of working with international publishing houses.

Seminars for authors of monographs are being organized at the University. Seminars on the preparation of monographs and on "book chapters" as a type of scientific publication will be held on June 17^th at 18:00.
