MGIMO Students at International and European Tax Moot Court

March 17th to March 22nd, the oral pledging sessions of the prestigious International and European Tax Moot Court, organized by the Catholic University of Leuven, took place in Belgium. This year, for the first time, a team from Russia participated in the oral rounds of the competition.

Student teams from leading universities all over the world prepared memorandums on complex cases drawn up for the competition and practiced for the oral pleadings in front of a panel of renowned judges. MGIMO’s team consisted of four second-year graduate students specializing in International Financial Law. The team was successful during the pre-selection stage of the competition, which was based on the written task, and was invited to participate in the oral rounds.

During the oral competition, MGIMO’s team came up against students from Tilburg University and Uppsala University. The jury complimented MGIMO students on their skills and their excellent command of English.
