MGIMO "International Education" Exposition in Uzbekistan

25 February 2020

February 25th, the exhibition "International Education" unfolded in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). MGIMO was represented at the event by the Deputy Director of the School of Business and International Proficiency O.Malgina and the representative of the MGIMO branch in Tashkent Sh.Umarova.

The exhibition attracted faculty members and administrative staff from 150 universities and institutes the world over.

The visitors to MGIMO’s stand asked about the programs in International Relations, International Economic Relations and those realized at the Odintsovo campus of the University.  Students expressed a particular interest in the MGIMO branch in Tashkent, which was opened in 2019 and is enrolling for the second year students in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs. The branch is currently recruiting for the undergraduate programs in “Business Informatics” and “Jurisprudence”.

The most enthusiastic visitors were students from local lyceums, gymnasiums and private schools, who asked many questions about how to be admitted into the different programs, the specificities of MGIMO entrance tests and about student life. Under-graduates of Uzbek universities asked about dual MA and English language programs, and all showed a keen interest in the specializations "Business Informatics" and "Economics".

During the exposition, the University gave a presentation on the new MA programs offered by MGIMO’s Tashkent branch, including “Event Management”, “Management”, “Theory and practice of simultaneous and written translation”, and “Linguistics”.

February 29th, at MGIMO Tashkent’s Open Doors Day, students will be able to find out more about the Masters’ degrees, the features of each program and the entrance requirements as well as meet with the academic supervisors of each course.
